The Tower of Balansat, also known as Es Molar Tower, is one of those characteristic defense towers on the island of Ibiza.
Balansat’s, in particular, is from the 18th Century. It’s located on Punta de Sa Creu, in Puerto de Sant Miquel. Therefore it dominated the northern part of the island of Ibiza. Though it never had artillery, when “Torrers” squad was created, two officials were sent to the tower to use it as a vantage point.
