The Plaça de Vila (square) is one of the most picturesque parts of the island of Ibiza and Dalt Vila and having with a long history.
In the summer is a cosmopolitan spot for the most fashion & chic visitors. Nice atmosphere and interesting stores, restaurants with really nice terraces with very attractive cuisine and gastronomical selections and also Adlib fashion shops.
As we said before, the Plaza de Vila has a very long and interesting history: the parade ground “La Escalera de Piedra” (the stone stairway), “el orejón” of the old Sant Joan bastion”, the fountain and many other things are part of the history of Dalt Vila and therefore of the whole island of Ibiza.
From Vara de Rey promenade and Plaza del Parque it takes less than ten minutes walking to get there through the Sant Joan bastion access. But if you don’t need to rush the best way is to access through Ses Taules gate or through “el Portal Nou” (the New Gate). Any of these accesses will allow you to enjoy of all its life and history that you’ll find on your way.
