Ibiza can boast of being one of the best nightlife spots on the planet. The summer nights and the island’s atmosphere are famous all over the world for the parties held in music temples that are led by the rhythm of the best DJs on the music scene. There are nightclubs and trendy, cosmopolitan clubs where visitors can have amazing experiences while dancing the night away.
Pacha Ibiza is one of these places. The club opened in 1973 in a beautiful whitewashed Ibizan house located behind Marina Botafoch, at the height of the hippie movement. It was an innovation, a place to meet friends, have a drink and listen to music late into the night. Since then, Pacha has evolved its concept of “club” over time, adapting to fashions and trends to create a unique style. Its extravagant parties and events have revolutionised Ibizan nights, without losing its soul. The most recognisable image of the club is its logo, with cherries that represent a relaxed and carefree lifestyle.
Nearly five decades after it first opened and after it has been established in many cities and countries around the world, Pacha Ibiza is still the most loved and best-known club. It is an impressive nightclub with different atmospheres and an exotic charm that is reflected in its decor, design and the different rooms inside it.
Once you go inside the club, there are different alternatives and atmospheres to enjoy. To the left of the entrance is the Sweet room, where the most commercial sounds are played, it is also a good place to listen to good Spanish music. Next door is the restaurant, which is a good place to start the evening, and the Sushi Lounge terrace. Continuing to the right you will reach the Global Room, which has a more chilled-out atmosphere, and is full of sofas and chaise lounges.
From the entrance, you can reach the Main Room, where the parties are held and DJs like David Guetta, Roger Sanchez and Eric Morillo play the best house and dance music accompanied by surround sound and an impressive light show. The area has several levels, bars and VIP areas, with beautiful gogos dancers and colourful performances dancing on elevated platforms located around two the floors. The Funky Room can be accessed from here, where electronic music is mixed with the best funk and soul. Its decor is an artistic presentation of African culture and it has a great outdoor terrace for lovers of peace and soft sounds.
One of the most famous and fun festivals of Ibiza is Flower Power, with special guest DJ Piti. This event recreates a unique atmosphere and relives a fascinating time with the best of retro rock and pop from the 60s and 70s, retaining the spirit of the hippie era.
