About 25 to 30 minutes from Can Planells, you can spend lovely day in the sun on the beach in Cala Bassa. Situated on the west coast of Ibiza, this beach is accessible by car and there is plenty of parking nearby. You can get there from the road to Sant Antoni to Sant Josep, before going through the village of Sant Agustí you will find a turn to your right, you just have to follow the directions from there. Another good option is to take the ferry that leaves from the town of Sant Antoni, right on the seafront, with daily departures throughout the summer.
This beach is embedded between rocky walls in a bay shape. It is a natural swimming pool with fine sand and clear turquoise waters that are calm and shallow. It is the perfect place for water sports. You can also rent jet skis on the beach or take windsurfing classes. Cala Bassa is surrounded by rocks on both sides and lush vegetation that reaches the very edge of the beach and invites you on a magical walk. Following the path through the pines and junipers, after walking for five minutes you will reach a rocky esplanade that overlooks the beautiful islet of “Sa Conillera” and an old watchtower. After this walk, you have earned a well-deserved rest in the shade on a comfortable hammock. Relax and take in the stunning panoramic ocean views. There are also showers on the beach for bathers and a first aid station with a lifeguard.
The beach has a Beach Club, the CBbC restaurant is distributed in four different areas and culinary concepts, in each area you can eat while feeling the sand under your feet. The CBbC Restaurant prepares elaborate cuisine and various rice dishes, such as “chiringo”, which is a traditional cuisine based on baked fish. In contrast, the Beach Boy and Snack bar serve a more casual menu based on Slow Food, you can choose from tasty salads or enjoy a Kobe burger while relaxing on the Bali beach beds. This resort is run by David Reartes, a self-taught chef who specialises in contemporary, relaxed and sensual cuisine; he has an innate passion for
flavours and senses using island produce.
